Roma's chances in the Europa League final have been boosted by the injury return of Paulo Dybala.

Jose Mourinho's Roma have received a major injury boost ahead of their UEFA Europa League final clash against Sevilla, as star player Paulo Dybala showed significant improvement in his recovery.

The 29-year-old Argentina international was a major doubt for Wednesday's final as he was nursing an injury.

Mourinho himself cast doubts over the player's availability for the fixture, but recent reports suggest a high likelihood of Dybala's involvement in Budapest.

Dybala's improved fitness

According to Sky Italia, the former Juventus forward trained today without feeling any pain, ahead of Roma's trip to Hungary for the final.

The left-footed forward has missed the last two games for I Giallorossi due to an ankle injury that threatened to keep him out of the final.

The Conference League holders are undoubtedly stronger with Dybala on the side, and his presence will come as a huge boost as they look to make it two European competition triumphs in two seasons.

Meanwhile, Jose Mourinho will be under immense pressure to deliver the Europa League for AS Roma after their Champions League qualification hopes ended in Serie A following a 2-1 defeat in their clash against Fiorentina at Artemio Franchi Stadium on Saturday evening.

Roma came into the game on the back of a disappointing 2-2 draw against Salernitana, with Jose Mourinho fielding a second-string side.
