TURKEY 'Safe' Miya saddened by Earthquake tragedy

The epicentre of the 7.8-magnitude quake which was 23 kilometres (14.2 miles) east of Nurdagi, in Turkey's Gaziantep province at Turkey, Syria border has so far claimed more than 4000 lives.

Uganda Cranes forward Farouk Miya has expressed his sadness about the unfortunate earthquake tragedy that hit Turkey on Monday.

Miya who turns out for Turkish top flight side Rizespor which is located in Rize the capital city of the Rize province in the eastern part of the black sea region told Pulse sport that he was safe but saddened by the tragedy.

"Ndi safe papa, Webale papa," translated as I am safe, thank you, bro (referring to the writer) when he was contacted.

Miya also took time to ask the world to pray for Turkey via his official Twitter handle.
