Harambee Stars striker Ryan Ogam has commented on his debut for Austrian Bundesliga side Wolfsberger AC.

Ogam finally played his first game for the club as he was introduced in the second half of their 3-1 win over Grazer AK at the Merkur Arena on Saturday, having started on the bench.

The former Tusker forward was a 75th minute substitute as his club looks to ease him slowly into the team and had little impact on the day with just three touches in the 15 minutes he was on the pitch.

It was an away clash for Wolfsberger, who have started the 2025-26 season in style, and Ogam is grateful to have finally got his first taste of the Austrian Bundesliga.

What Did Ogam Say About His Wolfsberger Debut?

“Felt Nice. Glory to God,” Ogam posted on social media, expressing his excitement at the new chapter in his career.

The Kenyan striker will hope to earn a start after the international break when Wolfsberger will be playing at home to SV Ried on October 18.

Wolfsberger are currently second on the 12-team table with 17 points, one behind leaders SK Sturm Graz, after nine games with Rapid Vienna and RB Salzburg also on the same tally, making for a fascinating title race early in the season.

Ogam will now shift focus to international duty as he is set to join Harambee Stars camp for their remaining World Cup qualifiers against Burundi and Ivory Coast.

Benni McCarthy’s men take on Burundi in Bujumbura on October 9 before playing in Abidjan against the African champions five days later and Ogam, who scored three goals in his last two games for the national team, is among those who will be relied upon to deliver the goods.
