Benjamin Sesko’s agent breaks silence, offering key insights on the striker’s future as Arsenal negotiations continue behind the scenes.

Speculations about Benjamin Sesko’s future have dominated the summer transfer window, with Arsenal heavily linked to the RB Leipzig striker.

The Gunners are in active talks to sign the Slovenian international, but as things stand, no deal has been finalized—not even on personal terms.

The latest development comes from the player’s agent, who has broken his silence for the first time in months.

In an exclusive interview with GIVEMESPORT’s Fabrizio Romano, Sesko’s agent Elvis Basanovic has shed light on the striker’s situation and addressed swirling rumours about a potential move to Arsenal.

“Well, thanks for the question. I got many similar questions in last days! It’s not correct to speak about names of clubs that are interested in Sesko. But maybe it is right to clarify a few things,” Basanovic said.

Arsenal Talks Ongoing but No Decision Yet

Despite strong links to the North London club, the agent confirmed that no final decision has been made.

While acknowledging Sesko’s impressive progress and the intense interest surrounding him, Basanovic emphasized that the striker will only leave Leipzig for the right opportunity.

“Well, his numbers at his age compared to some strikers with already great careers at his age are confirming my words. He will move from RB Leipzig only when we recognise a special club, a special project with a special coach,” he added, giving a subtle indication of what Sesko’s camp is looking for.

This statement aligns with Arsenal’s aspirations to bolster their attacking options with a long-term prospect who fits into Mikel Arteta’s evolving tactical project.

However, Basanovic’s words suggest that no commitments will be made unless the project is deemed the right fit by both player and agent.

Dismissing Rumours of a Forced Exit

Amid reports suggesting that Sesko’s camp is pushing RB Leipzig for a discounted exit fee to facilitate a move to Arsenal, Basanovic was quick to dismiss those claims.

“This is far from truth! We respect RB Leipzig and I am 100% convinced RB Leipzig will also respect our decision for the next step when we decide to do it,” he clarified.

This shows a respectful and strategic approach from the Sesko camp, reinforcing their commitment to a professional relationship with Leipzig—one that avoids unnecessary pressure tactics or friction with the German club.

While Arsenal remain keen on securing a new centre-forward this summer, with other names like Viktor Gyokeres also being monitored, Sesko’s name continues to top the list.

The 21-year-old’s potential, physicality, and goal-scoring instincts make him an ideal profile for the Premier League.

The next steps, however, will depend on whether Arsenal can present the “special project” Sesko’s team is looking for—and whether they are willing to meet Leipzig’s valuation.

For now, the striker saga remains open-ended.
