A magical game for Remo Stars' boss
Speaking in his post-match conference, the 42-year-old described his side's win as good, adding that he was glad that their chances created, paid off.
"We didn't score in the first half, but in all, it was a good performance, Ogunmodede said at full-time.
"Unfortunately, we lost too many chances in the first half, but the good thing is we created the chances, and in the end, it paid off.
"Shooting came with the intention to win the game, it's a game they can win. It's a derby game, it could go either we knew that before now. They tried to bring a lot of numbers into our goal area, we saw that in the second half. We tried to equal the numbers and catch them on the counter. It worked like magic for us.
Top-of-the-table clash awaiting Group A leaders
Remo Stars will head into game week four with the hope of maintaining their grip on the top of Group A, and Ogunmodede has said, that's the only thing on their mind at the moment.
"Presently, I only know there's only one match left for us to play, and that's our next match. That's the mentality in our camp - a match at a time, I don't know if any other match exists right now," the tactician added.
The Sky Blue Stars will travel to Benin to take on Bendel Insurance in a top-of-the-table clash at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium on Saturday.
