Posta Rangers are set to face Kenya Police in FKF Cup Round of 32 on February 24-25, after both teams win their preliminaries.

Posta Rangers are set to face Kenya Police FC in the Football Kenya Federation (FKF) Cup Round of 32.

The Mailmen secured their spot in the next round after a convincing 2-0 victory over Wisdom Soccer Academy in a match played at Ndura Sports Complex in Kitale

The game commenced with an intense, goalless first half, keeping the spectators on the edge of their seats.

However, the tides turned in the second half when Brian Marita, a shining star for Posta, netted two remarkable goals in the 57th and 74th minutes.

Posta head coach John Kamau expressed satisfaction with their performance, particularly highlighting the strong opposition faced.

"I am happy that we have an opponent who plays football. They have a good team, and their goalkeeper made good saves, especially in the first half," Kamau said.

The gaffer also expressed a mix of anticipation and confidence regarding the upcoming challenges.

"Of course, you expect a lot of difficulties toward the final, but I am happy that we have made it to the Round of 32," he added.

In a parallel fixture, Kenya Police FC demonstrated their dominance by dispatching Vegpro with a clean 2-0 scoreline in a contest held at Longonot Horticulture Grounds in Naivasha.

The match was off to a flying start with Tito Okello, the South Sudan international, putting the Law Enforcers ahead in the mere second minute.

The squad's fervor continued post-half-time, with former Gor Mahia forward Sammy Onyango, a recent addition from Zambian outfit Kabwe Warriors, doubling the lead in the 47th minute.

As the FKF Cup progresses, the stakes are incredibly high, with the ultimate winner set to bag a whopping Ksh2 million.

The runner-up is not far behind with a generous Ksh1 million prize. Additionally, teams securing the third and fourth places will be rewarded handsomely with Ksh750,000 and Kshh500,000, respectively.
