FKF Premier League leaders Kenya Police are poised for a high stakes clash against their disciplined forces counterparts Ulinzi Stars amid a heated title race with Gor Mahia and Tusker.

Kenya Police face a tricky test in a high-stakes clash against Ulinzi in the Disciplined Forces Derby on Friday at the Ulinzi Sports Complex.

The Law Enforcers are eyeing an Easter victory against their Kenya Defence Forces counterparts in their quest for the FKF Premier League title.

Police are seeking a return to winning ways in league action after their last outing against Nairobi City Stars ended in a goalless stalemate at the Machakos Stadium on April 6.

The Etienne Ndayiragije-coached side had the opportunity to bounce back in the FKF Cup on Saturday, booking their way to the quarter-finals against Kapenguria United with a 2-0 win.

Clinton Kinanga and David Simiyu ensured the Cup holders were on course to defend their title and secure another route to CAF Champions League football.

With the FKF Cup momentum, the side now turn their attention to Ulinzi, hoping to get back to winning ways in league action.

Burundian coach Ndayiragije is expected to depend on the likes of Harambee Stars midfielder Mohammed Bajaber.

The former Nairobi City Stars ace has been on fire for the Law Enforcers, proving to be a valuable investment in a fiercely contested title race.

The likes of David Simiyu are also expected to play a key role against Ulinzi as Police aim to tighten their grip at the summit.

With 10 matches to go, the title race enters a critical stage that cannot afford Police to drop points in their three-way battle for the title with Gor Mahia and Tusker.

Ulinzi out to spoil Kenya Police's party

Ulinzi have lost just once in the last five outings against Kenya Police.

However, Ulinzi are no pushovers and present a formidable block in their quest to stay at the summit.

Ulinzi are eager to get back to winning ways after a run of four straight losses.

Their last league outing saw the side fall 1-0 before the hiatus for FKF Cup action, where they got past fellow league side Bidco United 2-0.

Their head-to-head form against Police, however, should be cause for worry for the Law Enforcers.

The five past fixtures between the Forces clubs are pretty evenly matched, with each side claiming a victory while the rest have all ended in stalemates.

If Ulinzi were to manage a draw or a win, they would dent Police's title hopes, giving Gor Mahia and Tusker room to capitalize.
