Paul Pogba expressed disappointment over Manchester United's decision to send Marcus Rashford on loan to Barcelona, calling it a mistake.

Manchester United are reportedly nearing an agreement to send Marcus Rashford to Barcelona on a season-long loan.

The deal includes an option for Barcelona to make the transfer permanent next summer. Marcus Rashford struggled to regain his place at Manchester United last season following public criticism from Ruben Amorim regarding his training intensity.

After a six-month loan spell at Aston Villa, Marcus Rashford was made available for transfer this summer, and Barcelona are allegedly in talks to sign him.

Paul Pogba, speaking on a YouTube livestream with IShowSpeed, expressed his support for Rashford amidst the transfer news.

The former Manchester United midfielder believes that Marcus Rashford is a rare talent and that the Red Devils are making a poor decision in letting him go.

"That's crazy. I'm happy for him because they took his number out," Paul Pogba said, referring to Manchester United assigning Marcus Rashford's number 10 shirt to new signing Matheus Cunha.

"Manchester United are losing a great player. Marcus Rashford will be great for Barcelona, to be honest."

Paul Pogba acknowledged the managerial changes at Old Trafford, suggesting, "The new manager wants to do his thing, I guess, so it's not really his fault if he doesn't believe in someone. He needs to win; if he doesn't play well and doesn't win, they're gonna sack him."

Meanwhile, AC Talent agency, headed by Arturo Canales, is advising Marcus Rashford on the move.

Canales previously facilitated Marcus Rashford's loan to Aston Villa earlier this year, a move that didn't become permanent despite Villa having a £40 million option.

Barcelona appear to be in a similar situation with the loan arrangement and option to buy next summer.

With Paul Pogba now at Monaco, the two former teammates could face each other in the Champions League group stage next season, marking the first time they have played on opposing sides.
