Murang'a Seal have achieved a vital win in the FKF Premier League against Bidco United, ending a nearly four-month winless streak.

Muranga'a Seal returned to winning ways after a 1-0  FKF Premier League win over Bidco United at SportPesa Arena on Saturday afternoon.

This was the Seal's first victory since their 2-1 victory against Tusker on November 3, 2023. Robert Mudenyu scored the goal that pushed the away side into 11th place on the standings while Bidco remained ninth.

Mundenyu, who joined the side on a loan from AFC Leopards, scored the only goal of the encounter in the seventh minute of the match.

Bidco had their first sniff at goal on 19 minutes when Said Tsuma played in Chris Opondo on the left, but the defender skied his effort well over the crossbar.

Wilson Ngamau was called into action for the first time four minutes later as he had to tip Eammanuel Mogaka's long-range strike over the bar and Bidco goalkeeper also saved a header from Batts Awita on 39 minutes.

Kassim Mwinyi went close at the other end two minutes later with a shot from inside the box on the right that hit the side-netting.

The score was 1-0 to Murang'a Seal following a lively first half.

The hosts launched attacks after the restart as they looked to double their lead, with Batts Awita and Yasin Sije keeping the Bidco defence busy.

Awita found some space outside Bidco box in the 55th minute and he unleashed a low shot which narrowly missed the target.

Bidco coach Antony Akhulia decided to introduce experienced striker John Walubuka in the 69th minute as the visitors looked to snatch a late equaliser.

However, the Seals backline, which was led by Samuel Semo, looked solid and organized in the closing stages of the game.

Ultimately, Murang'a Seal emerged 1-0 winners over Bidco United after containing the visitors in the latter stages of the game.

The win eased pressure on coach Aballah Juma who was beginning to feel the heat after the team had recorded its fourth successive defeat when they lost to AFC Leopard last weekend.
