The Ingwe picked up their first win over K'Ogalo in seven years, with Victor Omune and Maxwell Otieno scoring for Leopards.

Gor Mahia head coach Jonathan Mckinstry, like all other Gor Mahia fans, will start the week with a bitter taste in the mouth following their side's 2-1 defeat to arch-rivals AFC Leopards on Sunday at Nyayo stadium.

The Ingwe picked up their first win over K'Ogalo in seven years, with Victor Omune and Maxwell Otieno scoring for Leopards.

Austin Odhiambo got the consolation for Gor Mahia, with forward Benson Omala also missing a penalty much earlier in the first half.

However, for Mckinstry, many positives were picked in the defeat, and he says the focus now shifts to the final bend, especially against Tusker FC, which is the next game.

"We have to go back and pick the positives, we played a good game, and I think we created many chances," Mckinstry said before adding.

"I don't think any of our players had a bad performance, but football can be so cruel sometimes."

"Majority of the season we have been chasing, we know Tusker has that extra point ahead, but what an opportunity to rectify it when we meet," the former Uganda Cranes' coach added.

Gor Mahia are still second on the Kenya Premier League log with 63 points, one behind leaders Tusker after 30 games; the two will face off on May 28th, 2023.
