The former Tusker FC man has thrived under former Zimbabwe coach Kalisto Pasuwa at Malawian Super League giants.

Kenyan international Clyde Senaji has been nominated for Nyasa Big Bullets' May Player of the Month.

The former Tusker FC midfielder cum defender will compete with central midfielder Ernest Petro and Lanjesi Nkhoma for the Hubertus Clausius Player of the Month award.

According to the Big Bullets portal, Senaji was a key pillar for Big Bullets' defence in four matches in May.

"For the two clean sheets in the four matches we played in May, Senaji demands the team's gratitude to his name. The center-back was our true shield and proved to possess remarkable capabilities to walk us through unscathed when under siege," part of the post reads.

The 26-year-old featured in all the matches that Bullets played, starting with a 4-0 victory over Red Lions, where he was voted Man of the Match. 

For his teammate Lanjesi Nkhoma, the winger finished the month with four goals from four matches and racked up two assists.

The Malawi international was voted Man of the Match award against Moyale Barracks in the first week and then against Bangwe the following week. 

Petro, on his side, has been described as the horse of the team in the past month due to his work rate, which saw him once involved in a goal build-up and have him on the three-person list for Player of the Month for May.
