The former Tusker player helped his club side pick a fifth victory in the top-flight.

Kenya international Clyde Senaji was voted Man of the Match after his solid display helped Nyasa Big Bullets secure a 4-0 against Red Lions in a Malawi Super League fixture on Sunday.

The 26-year-old commanded the backline with zeal as Big Bullets collected maximum points at Kamuzu Stadium in Blantyre.

Big Bullets took the lead in the fifth-minute courtesy of Lanjesi Nkhoma for a 1-0 half-time lead at the half-time break.

The Peoples’ Team added their second in the 70th minute through Anthony Mfune before Stanley Billiat added the third in the 88th minute, and two minutes later, Precious Sambani put the game to bed for his team’s fourth goal.

Before Sunday’s tie, Senaji had already captained his defense to three clean sheets, and getting his fourth required him to produce another defensive masterclass.

According to the Big Bullets portal, not showing panic in tempestuous moments is slowly becoming his greatest attribute.

Senaji had missed the previous Big Bullets game against Civil Bullets due to a knock he sustained during a match at Moyale Barracks on May 6.

Nyasa Big Bullets coach Kalisto Pasuwa admitted his team missed several chances in the first half that could have added to their tally.

“We created several chances and we could have won the match with a huge margin but we missed more chances,” said Pasuwa.

Big Bullets are on top of the log with 17 points from seven matches, whereas Red Lions are in position 15th with four points from the same number of matches.

Senaji and Big Bullets will play their next match on Saturday against Chitipa at Karonga Ground.
