The England star has been experiencing shoulder problems since late 2023, and he is due for surgery.

Real Madrid midfielder Jude Bellingham is set to undergo surgery on his left shoulder this Wednesday in London as he looks to make a stronger comeback next season.

The England international has been experiencing shoulder problems since late 2023 after dislocating it during a match against Rayo Vallecano at the Santiago Bernabeu in November.

The injury sidelined him for four matches but he managed to play through the problem since, often wearing shoulder strapping.

The player and club had already unofficially announced that Jude Bellingham would have surgery following the Club World Cup to take advantage of the three-week recovery period.

Since November 2023, Jude Bellingham has been playing with a bulky shoulder support, causing him discomfort and restricting his movement.

The injury has also impacted the former Borussia Dortmund player's performance. Despite an impressive start at Real Madrid, Jude Bellingham's form has gradually declined.

The news was reported by Onda Cero, which suggested that Bellingham could be sidelined for 10 to 12 weeks. Real Madrid expects Jude Bellingham to recover by the October international break. Jude Bellingham will have to miss Real Madrid's first seven league matches in August and September.

In his absence, manager Xabi Alonso will have to find a way to replace his key player, who has been a consistent starter since joining the Bernabeu two seasons ago.

Since his €103 million move from Borussia Dortmund in June 2023, Bellingham has played a key role in Madrid’s success, tallying 38 goals and 28 assists in 100 appearances across all competitions.
