Paul Pogba has revealed how Juventus' lack of support during his doping ban deeply affected him, leaving him feeling abandoned at his lowest point.

Paul Pogba has opened up about the challenges he experienced during his 18-month ban following a positive test for DHEA, a banned substance.

Following the news of his positive test and doping ban, Juventus terminated Paul Pogba's contract on December 1, 2024. The last time he had played for the club was on September 3, 2023, against Empoli.

The former Manchester United star had given his all for Juventus, and at the time of his contract termination, he had played 91 times and scored 11 goals.

In a recent interview, and as quoted by Sportal, Paul Pogba went down memory lane and opened up about the struggles he went through during his suspension.

The Frenchman expected the club to stick with him through thick and thin, but was shocked by how Juventus treated him during that period.

He pointed out that it was difficult for him to train, as he added that he did not understand why Juventus had to be ruthless in their decision-making.

Paul Pogba further revealed that at the moment, he is ready for the next challenge, having healed both mentally and physically.

“I was shocked. I had to leave Italy. I couldn't train, and it was too hard for me. The club was not with me, and that hit me hard. I never understood why. I fought against the doping decision, not against Juventus,” Paul Pogba revealed.

“I am mentally and physically ready and determined to start again. I am 32 years old, but I still feel like a child.”
