With several options on the table and a return to top-level football in his sights, Paul Pogba now faces a crucial decision about where to reignite his career.

Paul Pogba ended his doping ban on March 11, and he has since been without a club, but things are about to change following links to an MLS side.

The former Manchester United midfielder has been a free agent since last November, after he was released by his former club Juventus.

Paul Pogba was set to join David Beckham’s Inter Miami, with talks ongoing about his potential partnership with Lionel Messi, but now, he has been linked with another MLS club.

Paul Pogba currently resides in Miami and has also been conducting his training there. He sparked fresh rumours after being spotted at an LAFC game against Austin FC in March.

However, any serious move for Pogba would first require negotiations with DC United, who currently hold his Discovery Rights.

As quoted by the Mirror US, DC United hold Pogba’s rights, giving them an upper hand in deciding what his fate would be. DC United has yet to make an offer, but they discussed with Paul Pogba’s team about a month ago.

If DC United opt not to move forward with the deal, another MLS team can do so, but will have to first compensate the club.

However, teams in Spain, Italy, France, Turkey, and Saudi Arabia are also interested with Italian club Fiorentina and Ligue 1’s Marseille showing interest in signing Paul Pogba.

Marseille’s president, Pablo Longoria, revealed that his team had conversations with Paul Pogba about him being a potential signing.

He pointed out that, however, they decided not to sign him this season due to his recovery time, which would affect the squad. He added that fans would have high expectations, something he believes would put a lot of pressure on the Frenchman.

Paul Pogba will also be looking to earn a spot in Didier Deschamps’ roster for the 2026 World Cup. In an interview, he said: “We’re talking, and I won’t tell you the details. Yes, he has the ability and the mentality to return to the highest level. It won’t happen overnight, but for the moment, he hasn’t decided. We’ll see.”

With several options on the table and a return to top-level football in his sights, Paul Pogba now faces a crucial decision about where to reignite his career — and whether his next chapter will unfold in MLS or back in Europe.
