The former Nzoia Sugar defender's move to the Tanzanian Premier League side Geita Gold draws closer.

Experienced central defender Salim Hamisi is on the cusp of an exciting new chapter in his footballing journey as he undergoes trials with Tanzanian Premier League side Geita Gold FC.

The 28-year-old, who previously featured for Nzoia Sugar FC, is set to secure a long-term deal with the Mwanza-based outfit.

Having left Nzoia in February, Hamisi has been diligently working on maintaining his form and fitness while training with National Division One side Kisumu All Stars.

Hamisi's trial period at Geita Gold has been a chance for both the player and the club to assess each other's suitability for a potential partnership.

“He has been training with us for the past few weeks but as a technical bench we will be making a decision in the next few days," Geita Gold head coach Hamid Morocco told Pulse Sports.

If all goes well during the trials, Hamisi is expected to put pen to paper on a two-year contract with Geita Gold.

The deal will provide him with stability and an opportunity to prove his mettle in the competitive environment of the Tanzanian Premier League.

Throughout his career, Hamisi has gained valuable experience by representing various Kenyan clubs.

His journey started with Posta Rangers, where he showcased his defensive prowess and caught the attention of football enthusiasts and pundits alike.

His performances earned him a move to Western Stima, where he continued to shine as a reliable central defender.

Notably, Hamisi also featured for Sony Sugar FC where he continued to impress with his unwavering commitment and defensive acumen.

His time at Sony Sugar further cemented his reputation as a dependable and tenacious player who could hold the defensive line with confidence.

The Tanzanian Premier League has grown in stature over the years, attracting talented players from across the region.

For Hamisi, joining the league offers a chance to face new opponents, adapt to different playing styles, and elevate his game to new heights.

Should the deal materialize, it will mark a significant milestone in the defender's career, opening a new chapter in a journey that has already seen him rise through the ranks of Kenyan football.
