A kid has sparked controversy after claiming that the 2022 World Cup was altered for Lionel Messi to win and that the Argentine great 'rigged' six of his eight Balon d'Or awards.
A kid has sparked controversy after claiming that Lionel Messi rigged six of the eight Balon d’Or awards he has been presented with as well as the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
Messi has won everything there is to win in world football, including the World Cup, which permanently cemented his status as arguably the greatest player of all time after years of comparisons between him and arch-nemesis Cristiano Ronaldo.
However, this has not deterred Ronaldo fans from claiming Messi’s status is not certified, with one of them being a kid who was interviewed on the Badge Spots in a recent interview.
He has now claimed that Messi did not deserve six golden ball awards, further claiming Ronaldo has more goals and can score more regularly in the air.
“Stats, more goals and he plays better,” the kid claimed when asked why he thought Ronaldo was better.
“Messi can’t score headers, Ronaldo can.”
