Roma manager Jose Mourinho has recently announced his resignation from the UEFA football board after he was issued a four-match ban.

The Portuguese ban came after he was found guilty of insulting English referee Anthony Taylor in the final of the Europa League.

The UEFA governing body decided to sit regarding the incident and after much review, Mourinho was handed a four-match ban.

1. Strain relationship

Mourinho’s recent loss in the final of the Europa League was followed by a four-match ban issued by UEFA after he was charged for insulting and abusing Anthony Taylor.

The governing body then issued a four-match ban for his behaviour towards the referee which also led to his resignation from the UEFA football board, a few days after he was sanctioned.

The Portuguese has always been in the midst of controversial incidents in recent years and this adds to his compilations.

Mourinho was also banned by UEFA during his coaching days at Real Madrid and another ban has been issued to him as Roma manager.

His resignation from the football board which consists of former and current coaches and players will create a strained relationship between both parties after being banned from two different clubs.
