Ex-Man United Assistant Coach Gives Timely Advice to Kenyan Wonderkid After Sealing Move to La Liga Club
The Harambee Stars prospect, who dreams of playing for Barcelona one day, recently joined Celta Vigo from the Nastic Soccer Academy.
"I'm very happy to be here. I came to Bournemouth because I want to grow and play at my best level. At this club, with these facilities, I believe we can achieve that. I want to help the team achieve good results, improve every day, and become a better player," Petrovic said in his first interview as a Bournemouth player.
Last season, playing for Strasbourg in Ligue 1, he made 31 appearances and helped the team finish seventh, securing a spot in the Europa Conference League.
Petrovic served as Chelsea's first-choice goalkeeper during the latter part of the 2023/24 season under Mauricio Pochettino but was later replaced by Robert Sanchez following Enzo Maresca's appointment.
Bournemouth's sporting director, Tiago Pinto, commented on Petrovic's signing: "I'm very happy with Djordje's arrival at the club. The opportunity to sign a player of his caliber was something we had to seize."
