The Blues have intensified efforts to sign a Manchester United winger, preparing an improved offer to strengthen their attacking options soon.

Chelsea have reopened talks with Manchester United winger Alejandro Garnacho who is likely to leave Old Trafford this summer, according to reports in England.

The 21-year-old is one of five players who have reportedly informed the Red Devils of their desire to leave the club.

The Argentine winger's relationship with manager Erik ten Hag is strained, and he has reportedly accepted that his future lies away from Manchester.

Chelsea initially showed interest in Garnacho during the January transfer window, and according to TBR Football, the Blues are still monitoring his situation.

Garnacho's representatives are actively seeking a new club for him, and Chelsea recently held talks with the player's agents regarding a potential transfer.

Chelsea have already bolstered their attack this summer with Liam Delap, Joao Pedro, and Jamie Gittens, but Mauricio Pochettino is still keen to add further reinforcements up front.

With Noni Madueke nearing a move to Arsenal, and the Blues potentially looking to offload Christopher Nkunku, Joao Felix, and Raheem Sterling, there could be space and funds available to pursue Garnacho.

Aston Villa are also reportedly in the race for the young talent, but Garnacho may prefer a move to Chelsea due to the prospect of Champions League football.

Last season, the Argentine scored 11 goals and provided 10 assists in 58 appearances for the Red Devils across all competitions, and appeared to be developing into a key player under Ten Hag.

However, their relationship deteriorated towards the end of the season, after Garnacho came on as a substitute in the Europa League final loss to Tottenham and was subsequently left out of the squad for the final match against Aston Villa.

It is alleged that Garnacho was humiliated in front of his teammates. He further angered United fans by posting a picture on social media wearing a Villa shirt with Marcus Rashford's name on the back.

Manchester United are reportedly seeking around £40 million for the winger, a fee that should not be an issue for Chelsea.
