Mohamed Kudus, an offensive midfielder, is a target for Chelsea, who have contacted Ajax to express their interest.

The Ghanaian international has gained attraction from top clubs in Europe and has been recently linked with a move to Arsenal.

However, recent reports have stated that Chelsea are examining a variety of possibilities, including Kudus, and a deal on personal terms with the Ghanaian international is almost complete.

Although early communication has taken place, the Premier League side has not yet made an offer to its Dutch rivals.

Kudus on Chelsea’s radar

Kudus, who has a deal with Ajax through 2025, turned down a one-year extension in April and wants out of the Johan Cruyff Arena.

Chelsea is reportedly interested in signing the forward this summer and has enquired about his availability.

According to David Ornstein on Twitter via the Athletic, “Chelsea have made contact with Ajax to express interest in signing Mohammed Kudus.

“No offer yet but dialogue has taken place. 22yo attacking midfielder among options Chelsea considering + agreement close on personal terms”

Last season, the 22-year-old made 42 appearances for Ajax in all competitions, scoring 18 goals and dishing out seven assists.

Since making his Dutch football debut, Kudus has occupied as many as seven positions, ranging from a deep-lying No. 6 to a full-fledged centre-forward, with most of his time spent on the right flank rushing the full-back.

The versatile forward had an impressive last season with Ajax and could be on the move in this current transfer window.
