The Nyanza-based side’s campaign was marred by consistent struggles to find form and produce positive results.

Kisumu All Starlets captain Catherine Nabiswa has shed light on the primary reasons behind the club's unfortunate relegation from the Football Kenya Federation Women's Premier League.

All Starlets, who had enjoyed a four-year stint in the prestigious Kenyan professional football league, bid farewell to the top tier of women's football on the final day of the season.

The Nyanza-based side’s campaign was marred by consistent struggles to find form and produce positive results, which eventually led them to seek financial support from their loyal fans in order to fulfill their fixtures.

Speaking candidly about the team's challenges, Nabiswa highlighted various factors that contributed to their relegation.

"Some of the players went on maternity leave, others departed from the club, and several were sidelined due to injuries," Nabiswa revealed in an online program dubbed Tiki Taka Show.

"Due to a lack of depth in the squad, the coach and the technical bench were forced to rely on the limited number of available players."

Despite the disappointment of relegation, Nabiswa expressed confidence in her team's ability to bounce back stronger.

She reassured fans that the Kisumu All Starlets would resolutely compete in the lower division for a season, with the ultimate goal of reclaiming their position in the Premier League.

Building a stronger squad with greater depth will be a key focus for the team, along with ensuring adequate resources are in place to support the players and coaching staff.

The dedication and resilience displayed by Nabiswa and her teammates have been acknowledged by their loyal fan base, who have stood by the team through thick and thin.

As the Kisumu All Starlets prepare for their upcoming season in the lower division, the team's management will be tasked with identifying and recruiting talented players to bolster the squad.

In the face of adversity, the Kisumu All Starlets will draw strength from their experiences, eager to prove their mettle and ensure a swift return to the Football Kenya Federation Women's Premier League.
