Brazil had hoped that Ancelotti would start work in June but that is proving problematic with the coach preferring August, which the South American country does not want to wait for.
According to transfer guru Fabrizio Romano, the bone of contention is that Ancelotti still has a contract at Real Madrid until 2026 and the Spanish giants would be required to pay an exit fee if he is forced out early.
However, Madrid have no desire to pay the fee which is complicating matters, leaving the deal on the brink of collapsing.
