Amid swirling rumours and a season full of twists, Carlo Ancelotti has remained vague about his future at Real Madrid, noting that he is happy and content with his position.

Carlo Ancelotti has broken his silence following widespread speculation that he might leave Real Madrid at the end of the season.

His potential replacement is former Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp. Real Madrid has endured a tough season under Ancelotti's guidance, and now, his future at the club remains uncertain.

He has managed to guide Real Madrid to two La Liga titles and the Champions League twice in three seasons, but the 2025 season has proven to be a hard nut to crack.

Real Madrid’s performance in the quarterfinal of the UEFA Champions League against Arsenal was the culmination of all the speculation.

In the first leg of the match at the Emirates, Real Madrid lost 3-0 as Declan Rice displayed his full potential, scoring a brace in the 58th and 70th minutes. Mikel Merino added the third goal in the 75th minute.

Heading to the second leg of the match at the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium, it was expected that Real Madrid would fight tooth and nail and use home advantage to their benefit, but they lost 2-1.

Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli scored for Arsenal as Vinicius Junior netted the sole goal for Real Madrid.

The former Bayern Munich coach downplayed the rumours, revealing that it is under such situations that he thrives.

Speaking at a press conference as quoted by BBC Sport, Carlo Ancelotti explained that everyone is aware of the torrid season they are having as a club.

He explained that such moments should bring about unity, as he insisted that he is happy working under immense pressure since that is what modern football is all about.

"You see success very close and it's normal for stress to increase, but stress is fuel for me, it doesn't bother me, it gives me more energy to think about more things. As long as I continue to get up in the morning, everything is fine," Carlo Ancelotti said.

Real Madrid will be up against Barcelona in the Copa del Rey final on Saturday and will later meet their rivals in La Liga in May.

It is every manager’s dream to win a league and cup double, especially after a tough season, but Carlo Ancelotti is currently not focused on that.

He was vague about his future at the club, especially if he fails to win anything, pointing out that in football, anything is possible.

“I'm not surprised by anything, so anything can happen. I don't have any grudges against anyone or anything. I love this job. I loved it the first time, and I'm loving this second spell,” he revealed.

"I'd like this to continue as long as possible. If one day it ends, I'll be grateful and I'll take my hat off to this club, nothing else."

Real Madrid face Getafe on Wednesday night, but as things stand, even Carlo Ancelotti does not know what the future holds for him at the club.
