A preview of the biggest match in the Bundesliga this weekend featuring Nigeria Super Eagles new star Victor Boniface, his Bayer Leverkusen side against Harry Kane's Bayern Munich.

In a highly anticipated clash in the Bundesliga this weekend, two giants this season, Bayern Munich, and Bayer Leverkusen, are set to go head-to-head. 

The encounter, scheduled for the Allianz Arena on Friday, promises to be the biggest game of the season so far in the Bundesliga. 

Among the spotlighted players are Nigeria Super Eagles’ Victor Boniface and England’s Harry Kane, both nominated for the Bundesliga Player of the Month for August.

Before the award’s winner is announced, these two stars will look to help their respective teams maintain their impressive starts to the season. 

The question on everyone's mind: who will emerge victorious and steal the show at the Allianz Arena? 

Boniface’s explosive start at Bayer 

The 22-year-old sensation has taken the Bundesliga by storm since his transfer from Royale Union Saint-Gilloise.

He’s off to an incredible start this season, contributing six goals and assists in just three matches. Boniface has netted four goals, including two braces, and provided two crucial assists. 

Notably, he's become the first player since Erling Haaland to record six goal contributions in his first three matches in the league.

This remarkable feat has earned him the Bundesliga Rookie of the Month award, and he recently celebrated his international debut for the Super Eagles with an assist. 

Kane’s impact at Bayern 

Harry Kane, another summer signing in the Bundesliga, has made an immediate impact for Bayern Munich.

The English striker, who made a high-profile move from Tottenham, has seamlessly adapted to life in Munich. 

Kane has scored three goals in as many matches, just one goal less than his counterpart Boniface, who will less Bayer Leverkusen at the Allianz Arena.

Bayern vs. Bayer: Clash of the Titans

Both Bayern, the defending champions, and Bayer, early contenders, boast a flawless 100% start to the new season. 

Currently, Bayern sit in second place in the league table due to a slightly inferior goal difference, with Leverkusen leading the pack.

Despite being the home team, Bayern will face a stern year, having failed to secure victory in two of their last four head-to-head matches at the Allianz Arena. 

Adding intrigue to this battle is the presence of Xabi Alonso, a former Bayern player, as Bayer’s manager and Granit Xhaka, a former Arsenal man who will meet Kane, a former Spurs star, again.

Alonso is sure to be determined to outwit his former employers while his team aims to improve their historically poor record against the reigning champions.

In the last 10 matches between these two sides, Leverkusen has only managed to gather 10 points out of a possible 30.
