Eberechi Eze always wanted to play for Arsenal, but a ruthless decision by the club -who are now actively pursuing him - back when he was only 13 left him crying on two painfully separate occassions.
Arsenal transfer target Eberechi Eze could eventually join the club for £68 million, but on another occasion, could probably have been playing for the club all for free.
The 27-year-old attacker is linked with a move away from Crystal Palace, with Arsenal leading the race to secure his signature.
The Gunners are looking to bolster their left-wing options, and Eze has emerged as a prime candidate. He could potentially join alongside Noni Madueke, who is reportedly set to provide backup for Bukayo Saka on the right wing.

'I Cried For A Week When Arsenal Released Me'
)
Eze's dream of playing for Arsenal stems from his childhood. He was previously part of the Gunners' academy but was released at the age of 13. He subsequently spent time in the youth systems of Fulham, Reading, Millwall, and finally QPR, where he made his professional breakthrough.
In an interview with New Balance, shared on TikTok by @insidearsenalfc, Eze revealed the emotional impact of his release from Arsenal. "Arsenal was probably the hardest," he said. "My dream was to play for them, so hearing them say no at 13, that was tough. I remember training after I got released, and I couldn’t focus, I was crying whilst I was training."
"But, I think that helped me so much in all the other rejections, because if I can get through Arsenal releasing me, I can get through any other club releasing me. My mindset was, okay, it’s not going to be Arsenal, I’ve just got to find somewhere else.”
