AFC Leopards is set to celebrate their 60th anniversary with an international friendly against a Barcelona-based club in Nairobi on March 24, 2024.

AFC Leopards have secured an international friendly match against Spanish side AE Ramassa set to light up Nyayo National Stadium on Sunday 24 March.

This highly anticipated match is part of the Ingwe at 60 celebrations, marking a significant milestone in the club's storied history.

The friendly has received the green light from both the Football Kenya Federation (FKF) and the Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF), promising an exciting clash between the Kenyan and Spanish sides.

AE Ramassa, a distinguished non-league team from Barcelona, Spain, is more than just a football club.

Founded in 1975, the Ramassà Sports Association is also a committed NGO, championing sports as a vehicle for social integration and community development.

The build-up to this friendly match began when AE Ramassa officials visited Kenya on February 2 to explore several community-based projects, setting the stage for the finalization of this eagerly anticipated game.

AE Ramassa is scheduled to arrive in Nairobi on March 22, giving them ample time to acclimatize and engage with the local community before the big day.

This visit is not their first to the African continent; their football diplomacy has previously seen them play against KCCA in Uganda in 2016 and against Ethiopian giants St. George in 2014.

The friendly match against AE Ramassa offers the Leopards a unique opportunity to test their mettle against international opposition and to bring their fans together for a celebration of football, heritage, and community values.
