Ingwe head coach Tom Juma has been under fan pressure following a challenging start to the season.

Football Kenya Federation Premier League (FKFPL) giants AFC Leopards have issued a resolute statement reaffirming their confidence in the team's head coach, Tom Juma, despite mounting calls for his dismissal from passionate fans.

Juma assumed the role of Ingwe's head coach in July, following the departure of Patrick Aussems, and his tenure has proven to be a challenging trial by fire, as the club has struggled to secure victory in their opening three matches.

Under the guidance of Juma, AFC Leopards recently faced Muhoroni Youth and could only manage a goalless draw. This disappointing outcome preceded a narrow 1-0 defeat to KCB and a frustrating scoreless draw against FC Talanta.

These lackluster performances have ignited a vocal section of Ingwe diehards to call for the removal of the club legend.

In a statement released by the club's management, AFC Leopards made their position unequivocally clear.

"The management of the Club is pleased to announce its unwavering confidence in the leadership of the technical bench, headed by Mr. Tom Juma. The club remains committed to achieving its goals and aspirations, and we trust that the technical bench is well-equipped to guide us toward victory,” statement reads.

"Tom Juma and his team have been working tirelessly to prepare the squad for success this season. Their dedication and expertise are instrumental in achieving our goals, and we anticipate excellent results in the matches to come."

AFC Leopards also took the opportunity to rally their loyal fan base, emphasizing the vital role they play in the club's success.

"We call upon our dedicated fans to remain optimistic and continue supporting the team passionately. Your unwavering support is the driving force behind our success, and together, we can achieve greatness and make this season one to remember."

Tom Juma's association with AFC Leopards runs deep, having previously served as the assistant head coach for the club.

Now, he finds himself at the helm, with the weighty responsibility of reviving the club's glory days.

Assisting him in this endeavor is Fred Ambani, a former head coach of Wazito and Nakumatt FC.

The decision to stand firmly behind Tom Juma, despite the early-season struggles, reflects AFC Leopards' commitment to stability and belief in the coach's ability to turn things around.

As the football season unfolds, AFC Leopards and their supporters eagerly await a change in fortunes under the leadership of Tom Juma, hoping to witness a resurgence that will bring back the glory days of this historic club.
