The football administrator feels his side deserves to be respected by the local heavyweights.

Kakamega Homeboyz chairman Cleophas Shimanyula has continued with his salvos against Football Kenya Federation Premier League (FKFPL) opponents AFC Leopards.

The two top-tier sides recently clashed in the FKF Cup, and Homeboyz emerged winners in the semi-final.

"We have our own problems, but AFC is not part of the problems," Shimanyula said.

"It is the reason I always insist they [AFC] are our ‘sweet wives’ in Kenya, and it will take long for the dominance to change," said Shimanyula.

The chairman who never holds back has now asked Ingwe fans to respect Homeboyz, whom he says are miles better.

"I want to ask AFC fans to respect Homeboyz because we are not in the same league as their team, we can beat them when we want, we don’t care where, what time, and even if they ask for a replay, we will still beat them without any struggle," he added.

"It was just a matter of days for Kenyans to get the answer [of who is the best], and I am happy they now know Homeboyz is the best, way above AFC by miles, and I hope no one is questioning now because they got the answer last Saturday."

Homeboyz are on the verge of landing their hands on the cup, and Shimanyula says their main focus now is on the game. They will face Tusker in the final.

"Our main focus now is to prepare for the final, because we want to win this trophy," he concluded.

"We are taking part in the competition for the first time ever and have reached the final, so what is remaining is to finish the job with victory in the final."

Should Homeboyz beat the Brewers, they will participate in the CAF Confederation Cup next season.

However, a defeat and Tuskers’ emergence in the league as winners mean the Kakamega-based outfit will also earn a continental ticket.
