Fans give their opinions as to why this man would be the right manager to take the reigns at Stamford Bridge

It has not been easy being a Chelsea fan this season. Not only have they had to make do with three managers in the dugout this season (four if you want to include Bruno Soltar) and had to bear the pain of a series of poor performances and results this season, they have also had to be forced to explain to rival fans why the new signings that have struggled to perform for the club are not flops.

As if that is not enough, they were shocked when, after Todd Boelhy had had enough of Graham Potter and decided to back him, they were expecting the appointments of one of Julien Nagelsmann or Luis Enrique, Boelhy decided to make a sensational decision by appointing Frank Lampard as interim head coach.

You could therefore understand their outrage on social media. Fabrizio Romano has however, revealed on his Here We Go podcast that Chelsea are set to have fresh talks with Enrique and Nagelsann.

Most fans, however, would prefer having the treble winning manager in charge of the club.

One fan on twitter named Potent, claimed that Enrique’s attention to detail by “leaving no stone unturned” was the reason he would be a perfect fit at Cobham.

Questions have been asked on whether Enrique can be a success outside of Barcelona, considering his time at AS Roma in the 2011/12 season was underwhelming. However, another twitter account, @CFCAzM has brushed aside this by claiming that even Pep Guardiola has only relied on top players to dominate football.

Another fan account @CFCDatro believes that Enrique’s arrival would help unlock the potential of some players like Joao Felix.

Maxwell Jay shares that fan’s sentiment, claiming that Joao Felix and Luis Enrique would be “a match made in heaven”

Chelsea fans have been accustomed to instant success since Roman Abramovic took charge of the club, and @CFCKaz6 believes that appointing Enrique for next season would replicate Antonio Conte’s 16/17 season when he won the league in his first year.

It seems Chelsea fans will be excited should the Boehly-Clearlake consortium decide that Enrique is the man for the job.
