The tournament, held on August 9th and 10th at the renovated Spyros Kyprianou Athletic Center, will be a key test for the national teams of Greece, Serbia, Israel, and Cyprus as they prepare for EuroBasket. Each team will play two games, giving fans the opportunity to enjoy top-tier basketball featuring a wealth of star players.

"The tournament in Cyprus will be a crucial part of our preparations for FIBA EuroBasket 2025 and essentially our first public appearance before the competition," he said.

"These games in Cyprus will help us build chemistry, try out different lineups, get into game rhythm before the tournament, and see where we stand against teams that will also be competing in EuroBasket. We're all motivated and really looking forward to playing in Cyprus!"

Bojan Bogdanovic announced his retirement in June after 10 seasons in the NBA, citing injury as the reason for stepping away from the game.

Born in Bosnia and Herzegovina and representing Croatia internationally, Bogdanovic was selected 31st overall in the 2011 NBA Draft. He spent several years playing in the EuroLeague before joining the Brooklyn Nets in 2014, the team that held his draft rights.

He played the first 55 games of the 2016–17 season with the Nets before being traded to the Washington Wizards. Over the years, he also suited up for the Indiana Pacers (2017–19), Utah Jazz (2019–22), Detroit Pistons (2022–24), and most recently, the New York Knicks in 2024.

Bogdanovic missed the 2024–25 season due to a foot injury. Prior to the 2024 season, the Knicks traded him to the Nets as part of a multi-player deal, but he was later waived by Brooklyn.

Now 36, Bogdanovic finishes his NBA career with averages of 15.6 points, 3.6 rebounds, and 1.7 assists per game over 719 regular-season appearances, including 572 starts. He was also a reliable shooter from beyond the arc, connecting on 39.4% of his three-point attempts.

His younger brother, Bogdan Bogdanovic, currently plays for the Los Angeles Clippers.
