“Yeah, I mean, we've been pushing so hard to get into the world championship since I joined athletics, and funny thing is, when I started sprinting, I never had I never had any imagination that I'll be a star in 100m,” Ferdinand Omanyala revealed.
“My hope and my faith were all in the relay because I believed the relay could have done better, but I came first, and now the relay is following up, so I'm really excited.
“You know we're just inspiring generations, and I'm hoping that the relay team will always be in the major championships going forward.”

The Kenyan 100m sensation is also excited about his teammates getting a different experience at the World Championships.
He noted that they have yet to compete on such a global scale, and for the first time, they get to lock horns with the giants of sprinting and understand what professional athletics is all about.
Ferdinand Omanyala added that getting a large number of sprinters to go to Tokyo will be a game changer for Kenya and he has his fingers crossed to realise that dream.
