Sofapaka were forced to share the spoils with Mara Sugar, while Posta Rangers continued their good run of form under Sammy Omollo Pamzo with a win over KCB.
Sofapaka and Mara Sugar battled to a 1-1 draw in a tightly contested FKF Premier League clash that took place at the Dandora Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
The opening 44 minutes saw both sides cautiously testing each other with little goalmouth action. However, Sofapaka broke the deadlock just before halftime through Edward Ondimo.
After the restart, Mara Sugar applied relentless pressure, which paid off in the 53rd minute. A poorly cleared corner landed at the feet of Joseph Okwenda, who made no mistake in finding the back of the net to restore parity.

Sofapaka almost regained the lead five minutes later when Ondimo expertly controlled the ball inside the box, evaded defenders, and attempted a delicate chip, only for it to hit the side netting.
Coach Ezekiel Akwana made a double substitution in the 76th minute, introducing Bramwel Simiyu and Fred Osoro for Jack Onganya and Baron Ochieng in a bid to inject attacking impetus. The changes nearly paid off, as gaps emerged in Mara Sugar's defense. Ondimo had another golden chance after receiving a defense-splitting pass from Humphrey Mieno, but his left-footed shot went agonizingly wide.
Sofapaka fans had a late scare in stoppage time when a Joseph Okwenda free kick caused havoc in the box, with Noah Jagongo narrowly missing the chance to capitalize on goalkeeper Victor Augo's error.
In the end, both teams settled for a point, leaving Mara Sugar 11th on 27 points, while Sofapaka sit eighth with 30 points.
