In a historic move, this will mark the first time a field event will be featured with Davis-Woodhall leading the charge after her golden performance at the Paris 2024 Olympics.

Davis-Woodhall, 25, captured global attention in Paris after clinching gold in the women’s long jump, becoming only the fourth American woman in history to win Olympic gold in the event.

Gabby Thomas, a three-time Olympic gold medalist from the Paris 2024 Games herself, took to X (formerly Twitter) to cheer on her teammate, writing,

"SEE YOU THERE SEESTER @tar___ruh👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽."

The two track stars have been known to publicly support each other through social media.

Their bond, forged through shared dedication and Olympic triumphs, adds a personal layer of excitement to this year's Athlos meet.

Davis-Woodhall’s journey to Olympic glory has been nothing short of remarkable.

She started setting a national high school record in the 100m hurdles with a time of 12.83 seconds at the 2017 CIF California State Meet, to competing for both the University of Georgia and the University of Texas.

She specializes in both the long jump and hurdles events, excelling in both disciplines at national and international levels.

The 2025 edition of Athlos is shaping up to be one of the most thrilling yet.

In addition to Davis-Woodhall and Thomas, other elite American names such as Brittany Brown will also compete.
