Speaking about his impressive performance at the Paris Olympic Games, Letsile Tebogo noted that it was a special moment silencing the Americans and Jamaicans.
The American duo of Kenny Bednarek and Noah Lyles were forced to finish second and third respectively and there was no Jamaican who made the final of the 200m.
“That’s always been my goal. To snap their dominance. It was sad to see only two nations rule the sport for decades,” Letsile Tebogo said in an interview with Al Jazeera.

“I now have multiple opportunities to support myself as multiple brands want to be associated with my name,” Letsile Tebogo revealed.

The world 200m bronze medallist added that he only leaves his house if he going for events like the Diamond Leagues but other than that, he prefers being indoors.
“I stay locked up indoors because I don’t want to be out there too much. I like having an element of mystery and want to leave people wondering: where is he, what’s he doing?” Letsile Tebogo revealed.
Following his Paris Olympic Games triumph, Letsile Tebogo now dreams of a time when Africans will dominate the podium in sprints in global events, being confident that the time is coming soon.
