Kelvin Kiptum has been topping headlines in recent weeks due to his impeccable performance on the roads that even saw him break Eliud Kipchoge’s world record time at the Chicago Marathon about three weeks ago.
The 23-year-old made his marathon debut at the Valencia Marathon last year and clocked the fastest time over a debut in history to stop the clock at 2:01:53 and emerge victorious.

He then proceeded to the London Marathon this year where he clocked the second-fastest time in the 42km race to win in a time of 2:01:25.
Kiptum then headed to the Chicago Marathon where he stunned the masses to win the race decisively in a record-breaking time of 2:00:35.
With all his success, his uncle, Kiplagat Cheruiyot insists that his wife, Asenath Rotich, deserves all the honour since she is the force behind Kiptum’s success.
During Kiptum’s homecoming party that was held at the Weston Hotel, Cheruiyot showered praises on Kiptum’s wife, explaining that she has brought many blessings to their family.
