Shericka Jackson Stumbles as Anavia Battle Wins 200m at Xiamen Diamond League
Shericka Jackson stumbled in her 200m return at the Xiamen Diamond League, as Anavia Battle surged to a stunning victory.
It was a much slower time for Simbine, who had clocked 9.90 seconds at the Botswana Golden Grand Prix on April 12, which was and still is the world’s fastest time this year.
Simbine continues to show great form early in the season with two sub-10 performances in a space of two weeks, with compatriot Bayanda Walaza the only other athlete to have dipped under 10 seconds in 2025.
Meanwhile, Omanyala was playing second fiddle to Simbine for the second straight race, but he ran a slower time compared to the 10.00 seconds that he managed in Botswana, while Coleman, who had recorded 10.06 at the Tom Jones Memorial last week, also had a slow time.
