Letsile Tebogo’s recent 100m win is a hint at something big ahead of his showdown with sprinting giants in Xiamen.

Letsile Tebogo has proven to be in great 100m shape following his dominant victory just days before the Diamond League Meeting in Xiamen on Saturday, April 26.

The reigning Olympic 200m champion crossed the finish line first in 10.55 seconds, competing at the Potch Invitational Meet at the McArthur Stadium in South Africa.

Letsile Tebogo was testing himself in the 100m since he has yet to compete over the distance since the season started, and from his comfortable win in South Africa, he will give all his rivals a headache in Xiamen.

Competing at the Diamond League Meeting opener in Xiamen, Letsile Tebogo goes up against a very strong 100m cast, including the fastest man in the world in 2025, Akani Simbine.

Others who have been confirmed for the race include Christian Coleman and Africa’s fastest man, Ferdinand Omanyala, among other stars.

Akani Simbine has been impressive so far this season, competing in a series of 60m races before winning a bronze at the World Indoor Championships in Nanjing, China.

He then went on to win the men’s 100m at the Botswana Golden Grand Prix, clocking a world-leading time of 9.90 seconds. Now, heading to China, he wants to continue his authority.

On his part, Ferdinand Omanyala has also enjoyed an impressive campaign, winning the 100m at the Thika Stadium before heading to South Africa for Grand Prix one and two.

In the first ASA Grand Prix, Ferdinand Omanyala finished third before bouncing back to winning ways in the second one. He then competed at the Ugandan Trials, winning the 100m before finishing second behind Akani Simbine in Botswana.

Christian Coleman snubbed the indoor tour and began his season with two relay races at the Pepsi Florida Relays and Tom Jones Memorial. He then finished third in the 100m at the Tom Jones Memorial, and now heading to China, all eyes will be on him to deliver.
