Zlatan Ibrahimovic has given a definite answer to the comparison between sex and scoring a goal.
The 41-year-old recently called time on his relatively long football career, so there are no goals for him to celebrate in the near future—not in an official capacity at least—but it is unlikely the Swede would lose much sleep over it, as he is not in the school of thought that scoring is better than having sex.
Zlatan slams footballers who pick sex over scoring
Oddly enough, the topic is a common one in the football world, with players split over both divides, the ecstasy that comes from cheering a goal or the dopamine rush that follows sexual activities, prompting Piers Morgan to ask Zlatan of the side he leans towards in a recent interview.
The former Barcelona forward does not only think sex is better but also goes further, saying those who pick scoring are not doing carnal acts the right way.
"Sex it better. Whoever thinks differently has a problem with his sex,” Zlatan said in the interview on Piers Uncensored.
It is pertinent to note that Zlatan found the back of the net a whopping 573 times in his career, so the elation that comes from scoring a goal is not strange to him, but the ex-Malmo man believes sex is just more fun.
Gary Lineker thinks different
Former Barcelona man Gary Lineker is of the contrary opinion; however, he believes scoring a goal feels better.
"The only thing you can never replace is the scoring of a big goal,” he said, per the Daily Star.
"Scoring a goal... people use that silly thing, 'Oh, is it better than sex?’ You can’t have it any time you want, but you can kind of know you’re going to have sex at some point. Whereas you don’t know if you’re ever going to score again."
Cristiano Ronaldo was also asked the same question by Piers Morgan, and the Portugal international, like Zlatan, said sex was better, especially when it is with his partner Georgina Rodriguez.
