The summer signing was the star of the show as Erik Ten Hag and Manchester United survived a stunning second half fightback from Wolves to extend their unbeaten run.

Hojlund assisted Marcus Rashford for the opener before he doubled the lead with a smart finish to make it 2-0 at the break for the Reds.

With a goal and assist in a blistering first half start for the visitors, the Dane became the youngest player to achieve the feat in back-to-back matches for United in the Premier League. 

Hojlund also scored and assisted in a thrilling 2-2 draw against Tottenham Hotspur the last time. But his latest against Wolves sees him surpass club legend, Cristiano Ronaldo, who was the last player to record the feat for the Reds.

The previous holder, Ronaldo, achieved the impressive received at the age of 21 back in 2007 under the guidance of legendary manager, Sir Alex Ferguson.

Wolves did find their way back in the second half to make it 3-3 at some point after goals from Pablo Sarabia, who started the comeback trail, and super-sub-Scott McTominay, who restored United's two-goal lead to make it 3-1.

However, another United youngster, Kobbie Mainoo, grabbed the headlines with a fantastic solo goal-winner in added time to seal a dramatic and thrilling win for Ten Hag's men.

Hojlund’s recent form and impact would be a welcome positive for United fans who have watched their forward struggle to find his feet in the Premier League following his 72 million pounds move from Atalanta last summer.

His impressive feat against Wolves and Spurs highlights his huge potential and shows he could be the team’s long-term solution at centre forward.
