“We no send their papa” - Displaced Super Eagles keeper Uzoho tells critics

Super Eagles of Nigeria goalkeeper Francis Uzoho,, has made a bold statement in response to criticism surrounding his displacement from the national team's starting lineup.

Uzoho, who lost his position to Stanley Nwabali during the AFCON 2023 tournament, seemingly addressed his critics through a recent social media post.

Following Nwabali's standout performance during AFCON 2023, which secured him the coveted No.1 goalkeeper spot for the Super Eagles, Uzoho found himself relegated to the bench.

The 25-year-old shot-stopper had faced consistent scrutiny for his performances prior to the tournament, with many fans viewing Nwabali as a breath of fresh air.

Undeterred by criticism, Uzoho took to his Instagram stories to share a defiant message, accompanied by a photo of himself and his wife, Soomie.

In the post, he declared, "Dem no want our happiness but we no send their papa," signaling his determination to persevere in adversity.

Uzoho has managed just five appearances for Omonia Nicosia in the Cyprus first division so far this season.
