Galatasaray claimed a dominant 3-0 victory over Ajax in Amsterdam on Wednesday night in the UEFA Champions League.

The win propels the Turkish side towards the Champions League knockout rounds, while a devastated Ajax remains rooted to the bottom of the group without a single point after four matches.
Ajax boss hails Osimhen
Following the match, Ajax manager John Heitinga acknowledged the Nigerian striker's decisive impact, despite feeling the scoreline was harsh on his team.
"This result felt flattering," the Dutch coach told Ziggo Sport. "We didn’t give much away in the first sixty minutes; we were really in the game.
“We started well in the second half, but we conceded a real striker’s goal. We just have to defend better."
Following Osimhen's hat-trick, he currently leads the Champions League scoring charts with six goals, placing him ahead of elite strikers like Erling Haaland, Kylian Mbappe, and Harry Kane.
His remarkable form has seen him score in all three group stage matches he has played this season. The feat also made him only the second player in Galatasaray's history to score a Champions League hat-trick, after Burak Yilmaz in 2012.
Furthermore, Osimhen became the first Nigerian player to score three goals in a single Champions League game since Yakubu Aiyegbeni achieved the milestone for Maccabi Haifa back in 2002.
