'We are exhausted' — Pep Guardiola
Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has claimed his team is exhausted, suggesting they will face difficulties in that regard for the final run of the season.
The Cityzens knocked out Bayern Munich in the Champions League after a 1-1 scoreline in the second-leg for a 4-1 aggregate result.
They are still in the FA Cup, where they play Sheffield United in the semi-final, and are in direct competition with Arsenal for the Premier League titles.
What Guardiola said
The Spanish manager was speaking after the triumph against Bayern Munich, revealing that his team is exhausted due to the physically gruelling game and their schedule of features.
He went on to suggest he expects his team to face difficulties in their FA Cup semi-final clash on Saturday, as he does not see how they can recover and be refreshed ahead of the match.
"We are exhausted. I don't know how we recover to play against Sheffield United [in the FA Cup semi-final]. Now is a tough moment for the game on Saturday," he said, per the BBC.
Manchester City will face Real Madrid in the semi-final of the Champions League, their third consecutive semi-final, for a chance at the second UCL final in their club's history
