FIFA World Cup scorers Shakirat Moshood and Harmony Chidi have been chosen by head coach Bankole Olowookere among 20 players for the Nigeria U17 girls team known as Flamingos for the WAFU B U17 Girls' Cup.

In addition, there are strikers Peace Effiong and Mary Lucky Nkpa, midfielder Faridat Abdulwahab, defenders Taiwo Adegoke and Ayomide Ibrahim, and goalkeeper Christiana Uzoma.
