The two teams had already punched their tickets to the semi finals of the tournament after winning their opening two games against New Generation and AS Kigali.

It is JKT Queens however who will proceed to the semis as Group winners and are bound to be handed a favouable draw against Group B runners up.

The lone goal of the game was due to a fortuitous own goal by Babirye Winnie three minutes after the resumption of the second half.

Despite Vihiga pushing for an equaliser that would have handed them a chance of fighting for top spot, the Tanzanian champions held on for the win to seal top spot in the group.

Vihiga are likely to face pre-tournament favourites Commercial Bank of Ethiopia (CBE) who currently top Group B with six points ahead of their final game.
