Victor Boniface and Tella set to feature as Leverkusen eye historic first Invincibles in Bundesliga vs Augsburg

Bayer Leverkusen are on the verge of making history in the Bundesliga, as they look to become the first team to complete an entire season unbeaten, with Nigerian duo Victor Boniface and Nathan Tella expected to feature. 

Pulse Sports Nigeria reports that ahead of their crucial clash against Augsburg, manager Xabi Alonso has expressed his desire to achieve this remarkable feat on Saturday.

Alonso, whose Leverkusen side has already secured a spot in the Europa League and DFB-Pokal finals, spoke to the media about the significance of this weekend's match. 

"Tomorrow (today) could be historical,” the former Bayern Munich star stated according to a post by the club’s social media account. 

Leverkusen's remarkable run has seen them break the 59-year European record held by Benfica, as they currently stand unbeaten after 50 matches. 

This impressive streak has been fueled, in part, by the contributions of Nigerian striker Victor Boniface and English winger Nathan Tella, who are expected to play a crucial role in the team's pursuit of the Invincibles title.

Alonso's hitherto named Neverkusen have been a revelation this season, challenging for a historic treble, which would cement their status as one of the most dominant forces in German and European football history.
