“Uganda has got talent,” Kabugo revealed in a post that was accompanied by Lukwago’s handle and picture.
Lukwago signed a five-year deal with KCCA FC in 2022 after joining from Mbale Heroes Football Club.
He has also previously played for CRO FC, Rwampara Bulls, and Mbarara City FC Junior Team.
He is a versatile player who can play as a right-back and right wing-back.
The right full-back also featured for the KCCA FC U20 side in the Cambiasso and Rainbow International Tournament in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, which KCCA FC won in 2022.
In the KCCA FC team under Sergio Traguil, Lukwago will have to fight for his place with Angolan import Adilson Mfulu Bruno.
Meanwhile, Kabugo, who was a big part of the Uganda Cranes team in the past, is now a free agent, having last featured for Jwaneng Galaxy in Botswana.
Lukwago missed KCCA’s last match with URA FC in the FUFA Super 8 Tournament semi-final after the club granted him compassionate leave.
He has, however, returned to training and will be hoping to earn a starting place in Sunday’s third-place match.
