Tyson Fury tells Israel Adesanya why he won't be fighting in the Octagon

Tyson Fury, the WBC heavyweight boxing champion, is not likely to enter a cage any time soon, or even at all.

The legendary heavyweight boxer and current UFC heavyweight champion Jon Jones have engaged in verbal combat.

When veteran analyst Joe Rogan backed Bones to survive against "The Gypsy King" should they ever be confined in a room together. 

In reaction to Rogan's remarks, Fury snapped at the podcaster and used foul language.

It didn't take long for Jon Jones to join the conversation and invite Tyson Fury to enter the Octagon and lock the door.

Fury responded, “Jon, you talk about being in a cage; I’m not a cage fighter, mate. I’m a boxer — the best boxer, actually.

“So if you want to come into a boxing ring and fight me, be my guest.”

On Wednesday, May 24, in Australia, Tyson Fury met with UFC middleweight champion Israel Adesanya and once again expressed his lack of interest in cage fighting. 

The two champions were backstage at the Melbourne Cup for the boxing battle between Joseph Parker and Djanjo Opelu. 

The two sports titans were exceedingly friendly with one another in the video footage that went viral on social media.

After discussions with many possible opponents, including Ukrainian great Oleksandr Usyk, failed to result in a contest, Tyson Fury is still seeking his next opponent. 

But according to the latest speculation, Deontay Wilder and Anthony Joshua would fight in the co-main event of an event in Saudi Arabia this December that also features the two heavyweight giants.

Israel Adesanya, who reclaimed the middleweight championship by knocking out Brazilian bogeyman Alex Pereira in the second round at UFC 287 in April, is the subject of much anticipation as he prepares to make his first title defense.
