Transfer News: Manchester United open surprise talks to sign 30-year-old France midfielder
Ruben Amorim's Manchester United have reported initiated talks to sign Lyon and France midfielder Corentin Tolisso, as reported by French outlet L’Equipe.
Following a disappointing season, the Old Trafford hierarchy is ready to provide Amorim with the funds needed to revamp the underperforming squad.

Despite the urgency, United’s only first-team signing this summer has been Matheus Cunha from Wolves, fueling frustration among fans as Premier League rivals actively bolster their squads.
However, the Red Devils are nearing a deal for Brentford forward Bryan Mbeumo, and several prominent midfielders, including PSG’s Fabian Ruiz and Valencia’s Javi Guerra, have been linked with moves to Old Trafford.
L’Equipe notes that Tolisso is the latest target, with United making “initial contact” with the player’s representatives to “explore the feasibility” of a potential transfer.
The Red Devils remain keen to add more quality players to the squad ahead of the start of the new season.
