Ederson has not decided what to do next despite rumours suggesting the goalkeeper wants out at Manchester City.
Ederson’s uncertain Man City future
Even though manager Guardiola has publicly stated the club’s desire to keep him, the Brazilian has not made a definitive decision, with the 30-year-old’s future uncertain.
Ederson has been linked with a move to Al Nassr, but the Saudi club has reportedly withdrawn their interest.
What Ederson said about Man City future
While the goalkeeper expressed gratitude for Guardiola's support, he acknowledged that he is considering his options.
“There isn’t a decision yet,” he said. “To hear Pep saying that was very gratifying. It’s now my eighth season with him living many good moments, also some bad ones. He’s a guy who is easy to work with, he’s a football genius and everyone knows that. So it’s really good to hear that from him.
“I’m happy here, having a good moment with my teammates, I’m enjoying as well to get my fitness back on track. I’m very calm, whatever happens is in God’s hands and he knows the right way to go. Whatever he gives me I’ll be happy with.”
What comes next?
Ederson played 79 minutes in Man City’s 3-2 loss to AC Milan on Saturday before going off for Scott Carson.
The Brazilian should feature when the Cityzens play Barcelona on July 31 in Orlando.
